Chef Gabe Madrid

After a traditional New Mexican childhood of food, family, and culture; Gabe found his calling in the culinary arts. In 2000, upon touring the Scottsdale Culinary Institute, Gabe made the decision to take advantage of this prominent Arizona School and began a new chapter of his life in the kitchen. He enrolled January 2001 and graduated with honors in July 2002. 

It wasn't long before Gabe was working in Famed Chef Bobby Flay's Las Vegas Restaurant, Mesa Grill, which further ignited his passion for food and cooking. In less than one year, he was promoted to the Chef Tournament position. One year later, Chef Gabe was offered a position to be part of the opening team in Flay's new Bahamas-based Mesa Grill location, which he gladly accepted. Mesa Grill in the Bahamas is located on Paradise Island in the Atlantic Resort. Chef Gabe enjoyed over two years in this Tropical Paradise cooking for celebrities and athletes from all around the world. In May 2008, he moved to New York City, this time working in Bobby Flay's Manhattan Mesa Grill. Chef Gabe worked with and for Bobby Flay for five years.

In 2010, Chef Gabe was recruited by Carmine's NYC, a New York-based Restaurant with locations in Time Square and the Upper West Side. After joining the team he was offered an opportunity to move to Washinton, DC for one year to help open the Carmine's NYC Restuarant, the Nation's Capital Location in the Penn Quarter. Chef Gabe was in charge of numerous Private Events and Off-Site Catering, to Capitol Hill for Washington's Powerful Politics. 

In 2013, Chef Gabe moved to Phoenix and was the Chef for the San Francisco Giants Spring Training Facility, then the next year was the Chef for the Chicago Cubs Spring Training Facility. He then started working at M Culinary, under famed Olympic Gold Medalist and Owner Chef Michael DeMaria, where he gained amazing experience in high-end catering events.

For the past three years, Chef Gabe has been working as a Personal Chef and Caterer in Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Las Cruces and Phoenix, also adding under his belt Chef for the LA Dodgers during Spring Training. As of August 2014, Chef Gabe Madrid is officially an Arizonian, and his company Madrid Cuisine, LLC is fully underway. His newest addition to his mini-empire is his "Taste of New Mexico AZ" food truck! It serves the fine people of Arizona at various locations, along with catering numerous private events!
